What It Is

Azure Dev Challenge is an initiative to skill developers to learn new technologies on Microsoft Azure by encouraging them to go through learn modules and take up challenges in the form of a quiz that is part of the Learn collections.

This contest is meant for working IT professionals (student participation is subject to conditions - please check the FAQ for more details). It is also open only for Indian nationals currently residing in India.

You need to register for the challenge so that:
  • We can share links to Microsoft Learn collections over email
  • Provide regular challenge updates
  • You can submit your Microsoft Learn profile after completing any one of the Microsoft Learn collections
This challenge is meant only for professionals. However, to encourage students to learn and contribute to Azure Developer Stories by writing a blog we are allowing students as well.
Once you register for the challenge, we will share the Learn collection with you over email.
You need to complete ANY ONE of the Learn collections to participate in the challenge.
Yes, you can definitely complete more than one Learn collection. But you will be receiving limited Azure credits and limited swag pack for completing one Learn collection only.
The challenge starts on 12th January 2021, and ends on 31st March 2021.
This contest is meant for working IT professionals. However, to encourage students to take part in this learning challenge & contribute to Azure Developer Stories by writing a blog, we are giving Azure credits.

For Professionals: You will receive Azure credits worth $100 (limited for first 500 valid submissions only) to explore Azure services and encourage your participation in Azure Developer Stories. Also, the first 150 valid submissions will receive a swag pack along with Azure credits.

* Update (10-Feb-2021): We have announced the top 150 valid professional submitters and the swags will be shipped to their respective addresses soon.

For Students: You will receive Azure credits worth $100 (limited for first 150 valid submissions only).
If you are one among the early submitters, we will contact you through your given email address to share your shipping details to deliver the swag pack to your address.
On successful completion of the challenge, you need to submit your profile details from the Azure Dev Challenge page. If you are one among the early submitters and your profile details are valid, we will send the Azure credits to your registered email id.
If you are one among the early submitters and eligible for the Azure credits or swag pack or both, you will receive an email from us by 15 February 2021 confirming your details before sharing the Azure credits and swag pack with you.
Submissions with wrong/broken URL or incomplete profile details (didn't complete the Learn collection) or invalid registration details (eg. invalid organisation or designation) will be considered as INVALID.
You can submit your details for Azure Dev Challenge until 31st March 2021, but the Learn collections (available on the Cloud Skills Challenge page) will be available till 31st May 2021. To receive limited Azure credits and limited swag pack, you will have to submit your details on Azure Dev Challenge website on or before 31st March 2021.

Azure Developer Stories is a technical blogging contest cum learning program targeting developers to learn on Azure.

Upon successfully completing the Azure Dev Challenge, we encourage our participants to share their Azure experiences in the form of a blog or video as part of Azure Developer Stories that will benefit others to learn.
